Graveside services for Lois Evelyn Shepherd Parenti, 94, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Dr. Jim Nelson will officiate. Mrs. Parenti died peacefully on February 2, 2010 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born in Thomas County on August 5, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jacob Shepherd and Mattie Sue Pierce Shepherd. She was married to Armand Nick Parenti, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Mattie Lou Fox, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; niece, Barbara Fox Hollowell Sam of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and her nephews, Martin Shepherd of Bogart, Georgia, Ronald Raymond Shepherd Leslie of Miccosukee, Fla. and John Corliss Fox Sheila of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; six great-nieces and two great-nephews as well as numerous great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Lamar Shepherd. A visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 from 5pm-7pm at Allen and Allen Funeral Home.
