Lonnie Franklin (Frank) Mitchell

Graveside service for Lonnie Franklin (Frank) Mitchell will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Mitchell Family Cemetery, 4910 Five Forks Rd, Boston, 31626. Pastor Mack Luke and Rev. Keith Wallace will officiate. Mr. Mitchell passed away on Sunday March 11, 2018 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, Fl. Born on April 7, 1934 in Boston, Ga., he was the son of the late George Isaac Mitchell and Madie Wilford Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a salesman for Independent Life Insurance. He was a member of New Growth Baptist Church and he started Hope Bible Ministry years ago giving out over 3100 bibles. He married Mattie Jeane Taylor on January 9, 1954 who survives. Other survivors include his daughter Lisa McDonald; son Dave Mitchell (Chris); grandchildren Frank Mitchell (Michelle), Shea Fulghum (Ashley), Jamie McDonald (Crickett), Mitchell McDonald (Kathy), April Beheeler, Jake Mitchell; great grandchildren Joshua Mitchell, Brooklyn Mitchell, tba Mitchell, Little John Fulghum (Kaylyn), Alex Flumerfelt, Sierra Fulghum, Ery Fulghum, Ashley Fulghum Jr., T.G. Fulghum, Jasmine McDonald, Emily Zebley, Nathan McDonald, Marie McDonald, Hope McDonald and Layla; great-great grandson, Cole La’Crea; siblings Frances Coker and Kathy Anderson. He was preceded in death by his children Frankie Mitchell and John Mitchell; siblings William Mitchell and Bessie Mae Massey. The family will receive friends on Monday 6-8 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
