Loretta Joanne Laney

A memorial service for Loretta Joanne Laney, 55 of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at The Connection Church, 2123 Smith Ave, Thomasville Ga 31792. Brother Lem Joiner will officiate. Ms. Laney passed away October 19, 2014 in Tallahassee. Born July 6, 1959 in Delaware, OH, she was the daughter of late Warren Benson Wolford and Dorothy Schczygelski who survives. She was a supervisor with TECT Power and enjoyed going to the beach. She was a devoted employee and was very grounded and enjoyed life. She considered her greatest achievement her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Crystal Smith and husband Shannon of Cairo and Michael Amara and wife Tania of Thomasville; grandchildren, Sydney Nichole Smith, Isaac Lee Smith, Layla Nichole Smith, Michael Benson Amara, Nathaniel Lee Smith, Adriana Rose Amara, Garrett Lee Smith and Sofia June Smith; brothers & sisters, Wayne Wolford, Harold Wolford, Phillip Wolford, Patricia Branton, Jesse Wolford and Dwight Wolford and boyfriend Carl Pickens. She was preceded in death by brother, Vernon Wolford. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Community Presbyterian Church, 1040 Glenwood Dr, Thomasville Ga 31792.
