Lorraine Christie Owens

Services for Lorraine Christie Owens, 77 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 10 at Pavo Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Tim VanLandingham and Rev. Larry Harris will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Owens passed away August 8, 2012 at Archbold Hospital. Born December 4, 1934 in Lake City, Fl, she was the daughter of the late Finley Christie and Flossie Lorene North Christie. She was married to William Carlton Owens who preceded her in death. Mrs. Owens taught music and was an organist and pianist for several churches over the years, serving Pavo Baptist in recent years. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Ragan and husband Heyward and Rhonda Mullins and husband Eddie all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Chris Bass and wife Morgan, Brian Bass and wife Melissa, Raymond Mullins and wife Kim and Stephanie Mullins and Fiancé Kyle Griffiths; great-grandchildren, Marley Bass, Draven Bass, Austin Bass, Makayla Bass, Isabella Bass and Kelsey Griffiths; sister, Elaine Adams and husband Ray of Jacksonville, Fl. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pavo Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 187, Pavo, Ga 31778. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
