Funeral services for Lorraine Palmer, 58, of Thomasville will be held Friday, April 26, 2002 at 11:00AM in the Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. the Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Palmer died Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at her residence. She was born on January 3, 1944 in Thomas County and was a daughter of the late Lorenza Simpson and Louise Griner. Mrs. Palmer was married on June 21, 1964 in Thomas County to Loyal Palmer, Jr. who survives. She was a member of First Newark Church and a Receptionist at the Archbold Image Center. Survivors include her husband, Loyal Palmer, Jr of Thomasville; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Greg Mirick of Thomasville; a son, Kevin Palmer of Thomasville and a stepson, Timothy Darrell Palmer of Cairo; 5 Grandchildren, Keith and Josh Mirick, Megan and Chelsea Palmer and Alisha Palmer; 3 sisters, Cheryl Herren, Sagina, Michigan; Debbie Hurst of Pelham and Teresa Rainey of Lawrenceville and a brother, Mike Simpson of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Simpson and a sister Felicia Bussey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00-9:00PM Thursday.
