Lou Mccullough

Services for Louis “Lou” McCullough, 84 of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at New Growth Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Lou passed away November 17, 2021. Born August 30, 1937 in Pittsburg, PA., he was the son of the late Lewis D. McCullough and Mildred McCullough. He is preceded in death by wife Delores Harlan McCullough. He worked for Illingworth Engineering for many years as a burner tech. He was a founding member of New Growth Baptist Church, serving in many capacities over the last 26 years up until his death. Every Sunday he had a smile and a piece of candy for the ladies, a firm handshake for the men and a Bible story for the children. He was faithful follower and loved the Lord. Lou will be greatly missed by everyone. He is survived by his children, Jackie Childers of Morganton, NC., Ralph Halley of Ochlocknee, Lynn Harris and husband Mike of Ochlocknee and Michael Halley and wife Michelle of Thomasville; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and sister Laverne Harms of Pittsburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Darlene Martin and sister, Gail Mervosh. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 23, 2021 5pm – 7pm, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
