Louise Long

Graveside services for Louise Long, 100, of Ochlocknee will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday April 22, 2014 in Ochlocknee City Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Fowler officiating. Mrs. Long died Friday April 18, 2014 at Camelia Gardens. Born on November 22, 1913 in Columbus, Ga she was the daughter of the late Curt Barnes and Mary Dixon Barnes. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was known for her tea cakes and pecan pies. She was married to Hollie Long who preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by her children Raiford Long (Carolyn) of Ochlocknee, Ga, Mary Agnes Long Dukes of Thomasville, Ga, Robert Long of Tallahassee, Fl, Susan and Bob Wyrick of Thomasville, Ga; grandchildren Kathy and Bill Boyette, Kim and Ray Pearce, Tracy and Mark Courtney, Jimmy and Sheila Dukes, Bobby and Kelly Long, Patrick and Dawn Hurst, Bob Wyrick, Natalie Wyrick; great grandchildren Allan, Bella, Lena, Kasey, Kelly, Adam, Laura, Mary Claire, Emily, Reighn, Zoie, Kaitlyn, Camden, Rosie. She was preceded in death by her daughter Betty Louise Long, brother Ed Barnes, sister Agnes Green, sons-in-law Lamar Dukes and Jerry Hurst. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM.
