Services for Louise LuLu Davis Huddleston, 99, of Boston are 11:00 am, Monday, September 20, 2010 at Boston Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Don West will officiate and interment will be in Boston Cemetery. Mrs. Huddleston passed away September 17 at Camellia Gardens. Born September 13, 1911 in Ochlocknee, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Davis and Ada Pearl Downs Davis. On April 9, 1929, she married James D. Huddleston, Jr., who preceded her in death on May 28, 1988. Mrs. Huddleston retired from Thomas County High School July 1, 1982 as their librarian. She was the oldest living member of Boston Presbyterian Church, was an Archbold Auxiliary Volunteer, a member and past president of the 20th Century Woman's Club, member and past president of the Georgia Federation of Women's Club and was a member of the Thomasville Garden Club. Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, David Michael & Helen Abercrombie Huddleston of Thomasville and Gene Keith & Victoria Etzel Huddleston of Maitland, Fl, daughter & son-in-law, Linda Louise Huddleston Huckeba & John Huckeba of Cape Coral, Fl; daughter-in-law, Betty Dekle Huddleston of Stone Mountain; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons James Daniel Huddleston, III, Gordon McFarland Huddleston, grandson, David Michael Huddleston, II, grandson Gordon McFarland Huddleston Jr., and 5 siblings.
