Funeral Services for retired Lt. Colonel James Manuel Pellegrino will be Monday, May 20, 2002, at 7:00 PM at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends and the funeral home from 6 to 7 on Monday Night. Mr. Pellegrino died on May 18, 2002 at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Born on January 29, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Pellegrino was married on November 3, 1956 at Ft. Ord in Monterey, Ca to Virginia Webster Pellegrino, who survives. He was retired from the United States Army and later from the Dept. of Justice in Boston, Mass. Mr. Pellegrino was of the Catholic Faith and was a private pilot. He also taught flying and was a member of the Radio Control Airplane Club and the American Magician Society. He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Vahala of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and son and daughter-in-law, Phillip & Debbie Pellegrino of Flower Mound, Tex. Survivors also include grandchildren Danielle Vahala, Matthew Pellegrino, Addie and Dawn Lubig and 1 great grandchild, Kendall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Thomasville- Thomas Co.
