Funeral services for Lucille Calhoun Tinsley Norman, 86, of Barwick will be at 11:00AM Saturday, June 26, 2004 at the Barwick Methodist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Jimmy Hiers will officiate and interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Barwick, GA. Active pallbearers are grandsons and great grandsons. Mrs. Norman went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Born August 12, 1917 in Wilcox County, Georgia she was a daughter of the late Lucy Warren Calhoun and Elijah Calhoun. Mrs. Norman was a homemaker. On August 8, 1935 she married Toby Dell Tinsley who preceded her in death on April 20, 1960. Later she married Harry Wilson Norman who preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-laws, and two sons and daughters-in-law Nadine and Hubert Wilson of Quitman, GA, Ruth and Ray White of Cairo, GA, Johnny and Phyllis Tinsley of Dundee, FL, Mary Jane and Willard Walker of Barwick GA, David and Linda Tinsley of Pavo, GA, and a loving daughter-in-law, Blance Hunter Tinsley who was married to the late Leo Tinsley who died on December 11, 2002. Survivors also include 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. A son, Charlie Carroll Tinsley, age 3 years also preceded her in death. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Southwest Georgia. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA 31792.
