Lueanna G. Knight

LueAnna G. (Anna) Knight, age 96, passed away on July 7, 2018 after a brief illness. Services will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel followed by a private burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Thomasville, GA. The Rev. Hugh Rockett will officiate. Mrs. Knight was born on September 20, 1921. She was the daughter of Thomas Lonnie and Mercilla Turner Graham, both of whom preceded her in death. On August 20, 1941 in Moultrie Georgia, she married Ferris Lyndall Knight, who also preceded her death. She was a charter member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. She, along with her husband, were charter members of the Hasan Temple of Albany Georgia, and was an emeritus member of the Eastern Star. She loved her family and friends, as was evident by her desire to always have family close by. She always planned and prepared food for cookouts for celebrations of special family birthdays and accomplishments, no matter how small. Mrs. Knight’s survivors include: children Franklin Lyndall Knight and wife Susan, Thomasville, GA., Becky K. Bryant and husband Bart, Thomasville, GA, Beverly K. Collins and husband Ronnie, Boston, GA. Grandchildren, Elizabeth A. (Betsy) Knight Thomasville, Georgia, Chris A. Bryant New Orleans, Louisiana, Alison Bryant Godfery, Thomasville, GA. and Josh T. Collins and wife Deidre, Villa Rica, GA. Great Grandchildren, McKenzie Ansbro and Madison Bryant, Orlando, FL., Coleson Godfrey, AnnaLynn Godfrey, Olivia Godfrey, Pierce Godfrey of Thomasville, GA, and Aaron Collins, Villa Rica, GA. She is also survived by Sister Hester Graham Quick, and Brother Ellis Graham of Thomasville, GA. Other survivors include sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joy K. and Albert Moses, Hampton, GA and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by husband Ferris L Knight, brothers and sisters Verla G. Bennett, Elco Graham, Vinnie G. Graham, J.B. Graham, O.B. Graham, Thelma G. Duren Gay, Hoyt Graham, Dora G. Rollins, Lawrence Graham, Myrtle G Duggar.. The family will receive family and friends from 10 AM to 11AM on Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel before the service.
