Services for Luis A. Borja of Thomasville are Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 11:00AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church where he was a member. Father Thomas Murphy will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Borja died June 17, 2004 in St. George Island, Fl. Born December 10, 1943 in the Philippines he was the son of the late Francisco Borja and Irene Ababan Borja who survives in the Philippines. On July 19, 1967 at St. Paschal Parish in Tinambac Camarines Sur, Philippine he married Rosemarie Belleca Borja who survives. Mr. Borja was a teacher in the Philippines with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and worked as a LPN II at Glen Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville. Mr. Borja was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Filipino American Association of Southwest Georgia. Other survivors includes a daughter, Sister Alma Marie Borja, O.P. of Hawthorne, N.Y., son, Manuel Luis Borja of Thomasville, daughter, Sister Mary Josepha Borja, O.P. of Hawthorne, N.Y., son, Michael Borja of Thomasville, sister, Otilia Clavo, brother, Romeo Borja, sister, Alicia Flor, brother, Antonio Borja and sister, Corazon Caceres all of the Philippines. Memorials may be made as Holy Mass donations to St. Augustine Catholic Church, 211 N. Pinetree Blvd. Thomasville, GA 31792. The family will receive friends from 6-9PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
