Luther Bishop

Luther Roy Bishop, 83, of Pavo, passed away on November 17, 2025, at home. He was born in Sharpsburg, GA, on March 15, 1942, to the late Albert Roy Bishop and Margaret Calhoun Bishop.

Luther proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married the love of his life, Cathy Bishop, on May 17, 1985, in Newnan, and they shared 40 years of marriage together. He loved hunting & fishing, watching NASCAR races, always had a beautiful garden, and had the talent to fix any and everything.

Survivors include his wife Cathy Bishop of Pavo; children Kayla Bishop Davison (Robert) of Boston, Matthew Joseph Bishop of Newnan, William Mark Bishop of Newnan, Mae Bishop Hedden (David) of Newnan, and stepson, James C. Morgan (Shawn) of Franklin; He is also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including the three that he raised: Molly Bishop Perez (Jose), William Mark Bishop II (Christina), and Christin Bishop Batista, who held a special place in his heart. ; siblings Edna Barge, Alma Mamione, Landis Bishop, Roy Lee Bishop, and Robert Bishop.

He is preceded in death by his sister Inez Day, brother Lawrence Bishop, and son Patrick Roy Bishop.
