Luther Roy Bishop, 83, of Pavo, passed away on November 17, 2025, at home. He was born in Senoia, GA, on March 15, 1942, to the late Albert Roy Bishop and Margaret Calhoun Bishop.
Luther proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married the love of his life, Cathy Bishop, on May 17, 1985, in Newnan, and they shared 40 years of marriage together.
Survivors include his wife Cathy Bishop of Pavo; children Kayla Bishop Davison (Robert) of Boston, Matthew Joseph Bishop of Newnan, William Mark Bishop of Newnan, Mae Bishop Hedden (David) of Newnan, and stepson, James C. Morgan (Shawn) of Franklin; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; siblings Edna Barge, Alma Mamione, Landis Bishop, Roy Lee Bishop, and Robert Bishop.
He is preceded in death by his sister Inez Day, brother Lawrence Bishop, and son Patrick Roy Bishop.
