Mabel Geraldine Kirkland Smith of Rome, GA passed away on May 3rd, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born on October 1, 1939, in Nicholls, GA to the late J.D. Kirkland and Dorothy Faye Sweat.
Mabel worked for the USDA as a federal meat inspector for many years before retiring. She was a member of The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville, GA. She was a loving mother and friend who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her daughters Shirley Ann Reeves of Cleveland, TN, Belinda Hughes of Rome, GA, and son Jason Smith of Rome, GA, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mabel Geraldine Smith will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 11 am at Rosewood Cemetery in Barwick, GA.
