Graveside services for Mable Lee Hughes Gainous, 92 of Thomasville will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, April 25, 2014 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Hugh Rockett will officiate. Ms. Gainous passed away April 22, 2014 at Camellia Gardens. Born January 26, 1922 in Monticello FL, she was the daughter of the late Como Lee Hughes and Gracie Ward Hughes. She was married to Herman Gainous who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Jackie Holtzclaw (Steven) of Thomasville, Opal Harding of Lanett, Ala, Albert Jarrell, Jr (Ann) of Thomasville and Michael Jarrell (Sandy) of Cairo; grandchildren, Sherry Singletary (Sammy) of Whigham, Franklin Albert Hudson of Cairo, Kenneth Robert Hudson of Thomasville, Charles Harding of Thomasville, Sharon Parker (Mickey) of Ochlocknee, Kelly Barber (Jack) of Cantala; nephew, Russell Hughes (Happie) of Monticello, FL; lots of great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, James Edward Jarrell; brother, James “Red” Redding Hughes and sister, Grace Lee Hughes. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
