Graveside services for Madelyn Thigpen Hall, 92 of Pavo will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Voyles will officiate. Mrs. Hall passed away July 8, 2018 at Legacy Village at Park Regency in Moultrie. Born March 12, 1926 in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Cleveland and Estella Weathers Thigpen. She was married to Sherman B. Hall who preceded her in death. She graduated from Pavo High School, attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and also attended Georgia State College at Milledgeville, Georgia. She retired from the Thomas County School System with 38 years in education. Mrs. Hall was an active member of Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Sherman Benjamin Hall, Jr and wife Teresa of Pavo; two grandsons, Sherman Benjamin Hall, III and wife Amy Burch Hall of Valdosta and Bradley Kyle Hall of Claxton, Georgia; great grandson, Greyson Burch Hall of Valdosta and nephew, Bernard Hanratty and wife Lillian of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers & sisters-in-law, Ralph & Ester Thigpen and W.C. Jr & Emily Thigpen; sisters & brothers-in-law, Thelma & Jessie Royal and Maude & Jack Hanratty. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
