Services for Maggie Lillie Nelson of Thomasville will be held at 2pm on Monday December 26, 2016 in the Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Neeley officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Nelson passed away on Saturday December 24, 2016. Born on March 5, 1932 in Gadsden County, Fl., she was the daughter of the late Raymond Poppell and Mary Pearl Stephens Poppell. She was a homemaker and a member of Concordia Baptist Church in Gadsden County, Fl. Mrs. Nelson was married to Thomas Stockeland Nelson who preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Jackie Lynn and Timothy Parker of Thomasville; son and daughter-in-law Richard Earl and Leanell Nelson of Thomasville; grandchildren Jamie Marie Parker, Kimberly Lynn Smith (Daniel), Christopher Thomas Nelson, Jessica Cathleen Nelson; great grandchild Trinity Michelle Smith; sisters Barbara Ann Stephens of Havana, Fl, Alice Holland Bryant of Jacksonville, Fl; brothers Francis Earnest Poppell of Havana, Fl, Raymond Billy Poppell of Havana, Fl. She is preceded in death by sisters Eunice Harrison, Susie White Pearle Mae Bell and brothers Eugene Poppell, Dick Poppell and J.E. Popell.
