Major Bryant

Memorial services for Major Bryant of Thomasville will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday September 21, 2019 at Pineland Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey Whitley officiating. Interment will be in the Cremation Gardens at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bryant passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2019 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born in Thomasville, Ga. he was the son of the late James Bryant and Eula C. Baker Bryant. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War and was on the USS Juno and was stationed at Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejeune. He always lived by the Marine Motto “Semper Fi”. Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife Diane Whitaker of Thomasville; children Sonya Bryant Bussey, Octavia Bryant, Maurice Cole, Major & Shameka Bryant, Renee & Steve Bowman, Charles (Chuck) Whitaker, Josh & Leslie Whitaker, Tonya and Anthony Hayes; sisters Gladys & David McGill, Betty & the late Jerry Metcalf, Sallie and the late Ben Trotter, Venita and Marcus Williams; brothers William Bryant, Robert Bryant, Phillip and Barbara Bryant, Benjamin and Dalia Bryant; grandchildren Aubridginey & Dedrick Jackson, Adriann Stewart, Felix Stewart, Kevin Wyche, Jada Bennett, Donnie J. Bussey, Major Bryant, Jr.,Shymiriya Shannon, Maurice Cole, Jr., Jaden Cole, Braylon Cole, Matthew Whitaker, Evan Whitaker, Kyle Whitaker, Rocky hayes, A.J. Hayes, David hayes; great grandchileren Ny’Aasia Arnold, Ashton Devoe, Symphony Jackson, Jason Stewart. Preceded in death by James “Peanut” Bryant.
