Mr. Roper died June 6, 2009 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Thomasville, GA. Born March 28, 1915, in Dawsonville, GA he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Roper. He was married Eula Mae Evans Roper who preceded him in death. Mr. Roper was retired from Thomaston Mills and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. Survivors include son, James McDuffie Mac Roper, daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Julius Chastain all of Pavo, son, Sterling Anthony Tony Roper, Dawsonville, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Johnny Howard, sister, Foy Hickman, all of Thomaston, GA, seven grandchildren, several grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
