Services for Malvin J. Brinson, 83, of Thomasville will be 11:00AM, Saturday, January 04, 2014 at First Newark Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Brooks and Rev. Mike Keown will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Brinson passed away on January 01, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born March 18, 1930 in Thomas County, he was the son of the late James S. Brinson and Eugenia Lipham Brinson. Mr. Brinson was a Deacon of First Newark Baptist Church. He was married to Mary Fallin Brinson on September 11, 1955 at Antioch Baptist Church, who survives. He retired from Balfour Lumber Company. Other survivors include sons Kenneth Brinson and Kerry Brinson and wife Tracie both of Thomasville; grandchildren Jason Brinson and wife Dee, Colby Brinson and wife Candice, Nickolas Brinson; great grandchildren Beau Brinson, Kenley Brinson, Kayle Brinson, Emilee Brinson; and sister Myrtle Skeen. He was preceded in death by sister Nettie Lou Brinson Kent; brother James Roscoe Brinson.
