Marcelino Juarez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marcelino Juarez, who left us peacefully on November 3, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on April 27, 1938, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Jesus and Juliana Juarez, Marcelino was raised in Ohio in a steel mill during World War II. He built a beautiful life and career, marrying his beloved spouse, Sandra Juarez, in Georgia, where they established their family.

Marcelino dedicated his entire professional life to Trans World Airlines as an airplane mechanic, where he took immense pride in his work. His passion was evident, and he believed that every day in the hangar was a good day. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marcelino served a mission in Philadelphia. In his younger years, he enjoyed martial arts and liked working with his hands, fixing up things that needed repair. He cherished his time at the beach, where he found peace and joy.

Marcelino is survived by his loving children: Sonya Juarez of Boston, Savitri Juarez of Boston, Jessica Johnson of Leavenworth, Kansas, John Juarez of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Christina Bowen of Independence, Oregon. He will be missed by his twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Mark Juarez.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where family and friends will gather to honor Marcelino's life. The service will take place at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rhett Sowards, with a visitation scheduled one hour prior.
