Funeral services for Margaret Carroll of Thomasville will be held Thursday night at 7:00PM in the Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thomaston officiating. Interment will be in Ranielle, West Virginia. Mrs. Carroll passed away suddenly January 14, 2003 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The daughter of the late Saphronia and Homer Dixon Farren, she was born on October 30, 1921 in Buery, West Virginia. She was a member of Pineland Baptist Church,a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Lawton, WV. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Elwyn Carroll of Thomasville. Other survivors are her children Tom and Georganna Carroll of Thomasville; Jim and Pattee Carroll of Valdosta; Joe Carroll of Columbus, OH; Terry and Janet Carroll Helmick of Elyria, OH; and Mark and Melissa Carroll of Gaffney SC; Grandchildren, Jeremy Carroll of Columbus, OH; Tracy Helmick of Elyria, OH; Justin, Miranda, Matthew, Bethany, and Benjamin Carroll of Gaffney, SC; and Jennie Shreve of Valdosta, Ga. Also surviving are sisters and brothers, Irene Rogers of Meadow Bridge, WV; Joe and Harolyn Farren of Smott, WV; John and Louise Farren of Clintonville, WV; Nancy and Robert Helmick of Meadow Bridge, WV; Charles and Sue Farren of Medina, OH; Alex and Joan Farren of Herrin, IL; and Shirley and Steve Hall of Elgin, IL; sister-in-laws, Louise Walker of Rupert, WV; Thelma Duncan of Bel Air, MD and Francis Dotson of North Ridgeville, OH. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and one sister. Memorial Contributins may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel until 9:00PM Thursday.
