Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at First United Methodist Church for Margaret Cook Milton. Mrs. Milton died October 9, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Reverends Bob Dixon and Ronnie Mills will officiate. A private interment will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Milton was born July 11, 1920 in Thomasville, the daughter of Eugene Fleming and Clyde Patterson Fleming. In 1939 she married Osgood Cook, who preceded her in death in 1987. She married Dr. Emory Milton in 1989 and he also preceded her in death in 2004.
Mrs. Milton was a lifelong resident of Thomasville. Having worked in a local dentist office for over thirty years, she came to know many people who continued to recognize her for her outgoing warmth and friendliness years after her retirement. She enjoyed attending church at First United Methodist, visiting with friends, and raising a daughter. Survivors, all of Atlanta, include daughter, Margaret Cook Owen and husband Sam; granddaughter Suzanne Owen Krueger and husband Grant; grandson David Owen and wife Lisa; great-granddaughters, Mary Margaret Owen and Sarah Owen.
