Services for Margaret Ethel Pettigrew, 91, of Thomasville will be Sunday July 28, 2002 at the First Baptist Church Chapel at 2:00PM. Rev. Dan Spencer will offciate with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Dawson, Edward Johnson, Buddy Johnson, Dan Pettigrew, Scott Reese and Duke Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Raney, Roy Petrey, Dr. Keith Beverly, Bob Wise, Dr. Joe Rawlings and Dan McCarthy. Mrs. Pettigrew died Friday July 26. Born March 2, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Ira John Bell and Ann Littleton Brinson Bell. She was married to Robert E. Pettigrew, who prededed her in death. Mrs. Pettigrew was a member of First Baptist Church and a cashier for Food Fair. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Margaret Pettigrew, Bob & Joann Pettigrew of Lake City, Fl., Tom Pettigrew and B.J. Arrington of Bell, Fl., daughters and sons-in-law, Ann & Jim Lattay and Mary & Harry Tomlinson of Thomasville; grandchildren, Sherrie Pettigrew,Debbie Newkirk, Dan Pettigrew, Dale Pettigrew, Shawn Pettigrew, Shannon Raulerson, Cynthia Bryan, Carolyn Robbins, Scott Reese and Beverly Reese; great grandchildren Cody, Austin, Brooke, Anthony, Will, T.J. and Thomas. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Mae Brunson, Bennett Bell, Marion Johnson, Carolyn Dawson, Irene Ivey & Ira Bell. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home from 7 to 9 on Saturday Night.
