Margaret Ann Hurst

Services for Margaret Ann Tyus Hurst, 81 of Ochlocknee will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Andy Hall will officiate and interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Mississippi St. Pallbearers will be Clint Karsten, Morgan Myers, Chanse Hurst, Chad Love, Johnny Love and Mike Corbitt. Ms. Hurst passed away September 29, 2016 at her residence. Born September 26, 1935 in Clanton, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Earl Tyus and Era Mae Wyatt Tyus. She was married to her husband Junior E. Hurst for 43 years before he passed away. She was retired from Southwestern State Hospital and was a member of Ochlocknee Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Donnie Hurst, Marcia Hurst Love (Ricky) and Victor Hurst (Denise) all of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Christopher James Hurst, Chad Love (Ashley), Christie Johnson, Amber Love Karsten (Clint) and Victoria Hurst; great-grandchildren, Chanse Hurst, Morgan Myers, Josh Hurst, Avery Hurst, Mikey Johnson, Tatum Johnson, Declan Dahlen, Hayden Love, Miles and Riley Karsten; brother, Howard Tyus (Becky) and sister, Betty Gaines (Everett) all of Camilla and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Tyus Cooper. The family will greet friends 4-6pm, Saturday, October 1 at the funeral home.
