Services for Margaret May Phelps of Thomasville are 2:00PM on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Phelps died February 28, 2003 at her residence. Born December 28, 1927 in Thomas Co., Ga. she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. & Pearlie Brinson Stephens. She was a homemaker and was married to Clifford Ernest Phelps who survives. Other survivors include daughters, Patricia Cox of Tallahassee, Fl., Pam Priest of Thomasville, Penny Benefield and husband J.R. Benefield of Douglas, GA.; sons, Philip Phelps and Paul E. Phelps and wife, Felicia Bailey Phelps all of Thomasville; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Tommy Stephens.
