Margaret Thompson Ellis

A memorial service for Margaret Thompson Ellis of Thomasville is planned for Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 4:00PM at First Presbyterian Church where she was a member. The Rev. Keith Hill will officiate. Interment will be on Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 11:00AM at Northview Cemetery in Dublin, Georgia. Mrs. Ellis died April 16, 2003 at her residence after a long illness. Born June 24, 1916 in Dublin, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Dr. William C. and Mary Hick Thompson. She was married to Dr. Alton A. Ellis who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ellis was a retired school teacher from the Conyers School System and a remedial reading instructor. She was a member of the Garden Club and DAR. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. William and Asun Ellis; grandchildren, Sina, Jackie and Carmen Ellis all of Thomasville; brother, Dr. Robert H. Thompson of Brunswick, GA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Captain William C. Thompson USN. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 225 E. Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA. 31792.
