Margie R. Comer

Services for Margie R. Comer will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2019 at 2:00 graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thomasville, Georgia. Born on October 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late David and Recie Ison. Margie married her husband, William Comer on March 10, 1956. Always active in her church and community, she lived in Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina, and several places in Georgia. Before retiring, Margie booked movies for Disney and Paramount Pictures and was for years the only female in a male dominated field. Margie was known for her sweetness and was well-loved wherever she worked or lived. She is survived by her siblings Walter Green Ison (Donna) and Janet O'Neal (Richard) of Thomasville. She also had numerous nieces and nephews including Dr. Dawn Muller (Bruce) of Thomasville. Other nieces and nephews live in Atlanta, Georgia and Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband William Comer, her sisters Cleo Hughes and Garnett Hatfield, and her brother George David Ison.
