Marilyn Lee Brown, a beloved mother, sister, and dear friend, passed away on November 4, 2023, at the age of 77. She was born on January 17, 1946, in Sarasota, Florida, to her parents, Henry Thomas Terrell, Jr and Mary Evelyn Cooper Terell. Marilyn resided in Baconton, Georgia, where she lived a fulfilling life surrounded by her loved ones.
Marilyn dedicated her career to the field of industrial craftsmanship, working as an Aircraft Machinist at Piper Aircraft. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Sarasota.
Outside of work, Marilyn found joy in various artistic activities. She had a passion for painting, sewing, and drawing, allowing her creative spirit to flourish. Marilyn was also a fan of word puzzles, challenging herself to new levels of intellectual stimulation. In her free time, she loved nothing more than watching her great grandchildren play, cherishing each precious moment spent with them.
Marilyn's vibrant personality and warm heart left a lasting impact on those who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Melanie Newberry and husband Rodney, and her son Jimmy Dwight Underhill, Jr; 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Marilyn is also survived by her sister Carolyn Sepulveda and brother-in-law David Sepulveda, who will fondly remember the countless memories shared together.
In honor of Marilyn's life and legacy, a memorial service will be held on January 17, 2024, at 5:30 pm at Siest Key Beach, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,John Franklin Brown; daughter, Lalaina Lynn Furtah and great-grandson, Elijah Garand Tedder.
Marilyn has been laid to rest through a cremation process, allowing her spirit to continue to soar high above us. Her physical presence may be gone, but her memory remains etched in our hearts forever.
