Marilyn "Fern" Smerdon

Marilyn "Fern" Smerdon, age 91, passed away peacefully in her home in Ochlocknee, GA, on July 4, 2021. Born in Luzerne County, PA; lived in Whitehouse Station, NJ, for many years, and relocated to Georgia 4 years ago. She was the daughter of Margaret (Sorber) Sordoni. She is survived by her sister Lorraine Ellsworth; her two daughters Rebecca Berggren (Ed) and Martha Rushnock (Michael); 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Smerdon, sister Marie Williams, and brother Harry David Sorber. Fern loved everyone, prayed for anyone and never failed to share her testimony of how God gave her a new heart in February 1951. God gave her 70 more years to be a blessing here on earth. Her favorite songs were "Through It All" and "God Will Make a Way." Today she resides in her "Blue Mansion" on "Hallelujah Ave" in Heaven - John 3:16
