Services for Marion Lee Wood, Jr., 62, of Thomasville will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Eastside Baptist Church where he was a member. Rev. Tim Robson will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wood passed away May 31, 2012 at his residence. Born April 1, 1950 in Thomasville, he was the son of Marion Lee Wood, Sr and Jean Farlow Wood who survive of Thomasville. Mr. Wood was a veteran of the US Navy where he was a computer engineer with the Naval Intelligence at the Pentagon. Other survivors include his daughter Leann Wood Hamilton and husband Jeremy of Thomasville; grandchildren, Mattison & Trey Higginbotham; brothers, Tony Wood, Joey Wood and wife Brenda all of Thomasville and Tracy Wood of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Maggie Wood of Coolidge; niece, Kimberly Wood Davis and husband Curtis of Thomasville; nephew, Jerry J. Baker of Tallahassee and special beloved friend, Sanna Lewis Clark of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by brother, Michael Wood.
