Memorial services for Marion Parish McConnell Richardson Wailes, 97, of Thomasville, are 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at First United Methodist Church where she was a member. Rev. Mike Huling and Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate. Mrs. Wailes passed away May 6, 2011 at her residence. Born July 13, 1913 in Camillus, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edwin J. Parish and Mary McCauley Parish. She was married to Lee B. Wailes, Jeffers Richardson and Rev. James W. McConnell all who preceded her in death. She was a member of the United Methodist Women; the Plantation Women's Club; an avid painter and concert pianist. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Phillips Aubrey of Thomasville; stepson Stephen Wailes Jane of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren Laura Maro, Steven E. Norman, Julie Bristow Glenn, Cynthia Phillips, Jennifer Freeman Joe and Steven Phillips; great grandchildren Valerie Zabel, James Zabel, Marion Simmons, Matthew Simmons, Crista DeComo Mark, A.J. Heredia, Amanda Freeman and Amber Phillips; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Blanchard; brother, Willard Parish; sister, Nellie Traub and granddaughter, Carol Whittle.
