Services for Mark Alan Brannan, 54, of Thomasville are at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor and the Rev. William E. Collins will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Brannan died June 10, 2007 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on June 29, 1952, in Miami, Fla., he was the son of the late Vince and Dorothy Brannan. Vince and Dorothy met while working in Venezuela, where Mark lived until relocating to Moultrie at the age of 10. He graduated from Moultrie High School in 1970 and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor?s in Journalism in 1973. He began working in radio and television production at the age of 14. He got to share his love of Thomasville through various mediums, as the devoted News Director for WPAX radio for 21 years, and his website, Thomas County News, previously known as NewsMax. He also livened up our tv screens as lead anchor for the CNS Week in Review. Mark was a proud member of Thomasville First United Methodist Church, and involved with many community organizations, such as repeating Board Member for Thomasville On Stage and Company and the Thomasville Red Cross. Survivors include wife, Donna Irene Brannan, 52; son, Maximilian Antares Brannan, 24; and daughter Kimberley Capella Brannan, 16.
