Marla Jo Courtney, 70 of Thomasville passed away on March 25, 2024. Marla was born on September 2, 1953 in Cordele to the late Marvin and Doris Lila Robertson.
Marla was a long-time and active member of Dawson Street Baptist and First Baptist Church of Thomasville. She formerly worked as a social worker at Camellia Gardens and also worked at Dr. Murphy’s office and the Thomas County School Systems. Marla was known for her friendliness, quick wit, and easy smile.
She is survived by her son John and Beth Courtney of Dacula; her daughter Kelly and Mark McDowell of Thomasville; her sister Laurie Sansbury of McDonough and her grandchildren Harley, Jett, Carson Ann, Sadie, Cruise, A.J., and Lila Jo.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, March 28th at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel.
