Martha June Cummings

Funeral service for Martha June Willis Cummings will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Dawson Street Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Pallbearers will be Chase Strickland, Chad Strickland, Mattison Clanton, Norman NeSmith, Steve Strickland and Mark Clanton. June Cummings passed away on March 18, 2022, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cairo on March 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Joe and Eura Willis. A devoted wife and mother, she spent her life giving to and caring for others. Her kind soul and compassion for everyone was felt by all who knew her. She loved the Lord and her family with all that she was. June was an active member of Dawson Street Baptist Church for over 50 years. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Bob Cummings; daughters Karen Barlow of Thomasville, Jennifer Strickland (Steve) of Thomasville and Crystal Clanton (Mark) of Bishop, GA; grandchildren Chase Strickland (Jennifer), Chad Strickland (Anna), Mattison Clanton (Ivy), Colby Clanton (Taylor) and Sydney Clanton Brooks (Spencer); great grandchildren Fisher Strickland, Myles Strickland, Delilah June Clanton and Lucy Clanton; sister Linda Connell (Jerry) of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by son in law Cooter Barlow, grandson Shane Barlow and sister Loette Martin.
