Martha Joan Howell

Martha Joan Howell passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was a life-long resident of Barwick, GA and attended Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. Joan was born on July 5, 1948. Joan was preceded in death by her parents James Fulton Howell Jr., Martha Stephenson Howell of Barwick and her brother James Lawrence Howell. Joan is survived by her brother David Howell and wife (Jean) of Chula, GA, sister Carol Peppers and husband (Jim) of Barwick, brother Phillip Howell and wife (Pam) of Thomasville, brother Terry Howell and wife (Jan) of Barwick, and sister Patricia Flynn and husband (Scott) of Clearwater, Fl. Joan was loved dearly by her family and all her 7 nephews, 4 nieces, 9 great nephews and 1 great niece. The funeral, officiated by Elder Phillip Howell, will be graveside on Saturday, August 22, at Harmony Primitive Baptist Church in Barwick at 9:00AM. Family asks that COVID precautions be observed by all so that everyone attending may feel comfortable. Flowers should be sent to Allen & Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harmony Primitive Baptist Church or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
