Martha Joann Sellars

Graveside services for Martha "Joann" Anderson Sellars, 82 of Albany will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 16, 2022, at Laurel Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gary Holland officiating. Mrs. Sellars passed away on December 13, 2022, at her residence. Born February 27, 1940, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late George Edward Anderson and Janie Estelle Varnadoe Anderson. On April 7, 1972, she married Ronald Sellars, who survives. She worked as a seamstress at Taylormaid and then at Thomasville Home Furnishings until retirement in 1982. She is survived by her grandchildren, Crystal JoAnne Hunter (Brandon) and Timothy Joshua Collins; great-grandchildren, Noah Prather, Dakota Prather, Carter Hunter, Jacob Collins, and Makayla Collins; sister, Sharon Collins of Metcalfe; sister-in-law, Mildred Anderson of Thomasville and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Guy Edward Collins; brothers, Arthur Adolf Anderson, and William Edward Anderson and sister, Gussie Nadine Smith. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home from 12:30 - 1:30pm prior to the graveside service.
