Martha Ann Wiggins, 97, of Ochlocknee, Georgia, passed away on October 1, 2026. Born on November 8, 1928, in Douglas, Georgia, Martha was a dedicated homemaker and a beloved member of her community. She was the daughter of the late Cliffton Smith and Minnie Richertson Smith.
Martha was a founding member of the Rose City Church of God, where she contributed her time and spirit, devoting herself to her community and her church family. She was the proud owner of Wee Care Day Care for many years, where her deep love for children shone brightly. Martha was also known for her kind heart and an incredible love for animals, often finding joy in the companionship of her furry friends. Martha not only raised three children of her own but also extended her nurturing spirit to countless others throughout her life, embracing her role as a caregiver and mentor.
Survivors include her daughters Shirley Rollo (Edward) of Ohio and Brenda Stewart (John Bozeman) of Tallahassee; daughter-in-law Sandy Hodges; grandchildren Vaughn Stewart (Lauren), Shane Stewart (Deneese), Lucas Stewart (Kelli), Laura Ann Davis (J.C.), and Jason Rollo (Kristin), followed by thirteen great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Wiggins, son Robert "Bobby" Hodges, grandchildren Christopher Rollo and Rhonda Rollo, and her parents.
A service will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 3 pm at Rose City Church of God with Pastor Eric Wentz officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 p.m. prior to the service. Martha will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery next to her husband.
