Memorial services for Martha Gail Smith Banister, 66 of Thomasville will be held at 4:00pm, Monday, September 3 2012 at 6290 Airline Rd, the family farm in Pavo. Rev. Mike Keown will officiate. Ms. Banister passed away August 30, 2012 at her residence. Born June 9, 1946 in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alan Smith, Sr and Minnie Octavia McKinney Smith. She was self-employed as a respiratory therapist and was a member of Coolidge Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Christianne Banister Mitchell and husband Jamie of Lenox, Ga; grandchildren, Emma Dawn Mitchell and Wyatt Keith Mitchell; sisters, Patricia Crosby and husband Paul of Orlando, Beth Venables and husband David of Winter Garden, Fl, Joy Smith of Thomasville; brothers, Chuck Smith and wife Jane of Berlin and Tony Smith and wife Tamara of Pavo, numerous nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece. She was preceded in death by daughter, Angela Marie Connor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to Thomasville Alcoholics Anonymous, 241 Cove Landing Dr #506, Thomasville, Ga 31792.
