Mary Ruth Burleson

Graveside services for Mary Ruth Burleson, 85 of Boston will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Boston City Cemetery. Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate. Mrs. Burleson passed away April 14, 2015 at Archbold memorial Hospital. Born December 3, 1929 in Boston she was the daughter of the late Walter Green Bruce and Mary Ruth Swift Bruce. She was first married to Robert E. Miller who preceded her in death and later to Herman Clyde Burleson who also preceded her in death. She graduated from Boston High School and was a teller for Commercial Bank at the Boston Branch. She was a member of Boston Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Pati Miller and husband Paul of Columbus; son-in-law, Mike Viers of Boston; grandchildren, Mike & Shannon Viers, Bobby & Lyvonne Viers, Kim & Walt Baldwin, Matthew & Astin Miller, Jennifer Miller, Sam Miller and Holly & Kristopher Reeves; 11 great grandchildren; brothers & sister, Frank (Pap) Bruce and wife Marian of Boston, Sara Jackson of Boston, Al Bruce of Savannah, and Mike Bruce of Pensacola, Fa. She was preceded in death by daughter Cheryl Viers; sister, Jeanne Bradshaw and brothers, Walt Bruce and Sammy Bruce.
