Services celebrating the life of Mary Neal Pearce Clifton, 54 of Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014, at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel. Pastor Jamie Baggett will officiate and interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Barwick. Mrs. Clifton passed on to her eternal home with her family by her side at her home on Thursday, October 9, 2014. Mary Neal was born on November 13, 1959 the youngest of eight daughters to the late Delma Carl Pearce and Ethelyn Carter Pearce in Barwick, Georgia. Mary Neal accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and knew when she left this earthly place she would spend eternity with her Heavenly Father. She was married to the love of her life Robert "Bobby" Clifton on August 7, 1999 who preceded her in his home going on April 18, 2007. During their marriage they enjoyed many activities together, which included Bible studies, wood working, and enjoying God's beautiful creation the wonderful outdoors which Mary Neal continued to enjoy until her passing. She was employed with the Thomas County School system until her health required her to resign. Honorary pallbearers will be her brother-in-laws. And pallbearers will be her nephews. Survivors include a daughter, April Nichole Baggett of Thomasville, sisters, Gayle Smith, Thomasville, Marilyn Roberts, Thomasville, Lynnette (Bobby) Harvell, Fitzgerald Annette (Danny) Baggett, Fitzgerald, Janice (Mike) Johnson, Coolidge, Sheila (Mike) Whitley, Thomasville, Aunt and Uncle Robert (Carolyn) Newsome of Cairo. Survivors also include sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Lucille Drawdy Thomasville, Sue and James Woods of Lilburn, and Harold Clifton of Beaufort, S.C, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by sister Karen Clements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA, 31792.
