Mary Elizabeth Brinkley

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Martin Brinkley, 74, of Thomasville will be held at the First Baptist Church Chapel, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:00AM. Rev. Marty Carnes will officiate and the interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brinkley passed away on April 15, 2018. She was born February 11, 1944 in LaGrange, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Steven and Essie Stewart Martin. Mrs. Brinkley, a University of Georgia alumni, was a life long educator, teaching English in Georgia high schools.
Mrs. Brinkley is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Cecil T. Brinkley and her children, daughter Robin and son-in-law Mark Brewer of Thomasville and son Matt Brinkley and daughter-in-law Jenny of Athens; grandchildren, Liz, Chris, Paul, John, Rachel, Kellie, Harrison, and Jantsen; great grandchild, Thomas. She was preceded in death by her four siblings; Sylvia, Georgia, Velma and Thomas. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 17th, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
