Mary Etta Jones Brown

Funeral services for Mary Etta Jones Brown will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Sunday Aug. 4, 2002 at Hospitality Care Nursing Home. She was born on January 20, 1914 in Box Springs, Ga. to the late Jessie James Jones and Sally Grimsley Jones. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and was married to Bonnie Brown who preceded her in death on June 25, 2002. Survivors include her son & daugher-in-law Lougene Gene & Patricia Brown of Thomasville, grandchildren Karen M Brown, Tracy L. & Robert Greek all of Thomasville, great grandchildren Krista Greek and Daniel Greek, Sister Mattie Sims of Crawfordville, Fl., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Walter Jones, Evans Jones, Melton Jones, Homer Jones, Charlie Jones and James Jones. Sisters, Viola Wilkes, Laura Palmer, Annie Mae Sanford, Roberta Keigans, and daughter-in-law Beatrice Wilford Brown. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 PM.
