Mary Eleanor Fallin

Mary Eleanor Fallin of Coolidge, peacefully passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on March 20, 1937, in Reno to the late parents John Henry Clay and Mamie Lee Gandy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Lewis H. Fallin.

Eleanor worked at Southwestern State Hospital in housekeeping for many years.

She was a member of Merrillville Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and yard work, spending time tending to her flowers and plants, and loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survived by; son Michael Lewis Fallin and his wife Becky of Merrillville; daughter Becky Field and husband Jonathan of Tallahassee; grandchildren, Holly Wilson and husband Jack, Tiffany Hope Gunter, Christopher Michael Fallin and wife Kaylin, and Kennedy Hunter Owens; great grandchildren, Jolie Elizabeth Napier, Mikenna Wilson, Jax Wilson, Braylen Gunter, and Noah Gunter; sisters and brothers Ester Lee Meyers of Thomasville, Lamar Clay of Welden, NC, Gene Clay of Thomasville, Martha Nell Eason of Thomasville, Bobbie Ann Owens and husband Charles of Barwick; numerous nieces and nephews and "adopted" son Mark Griffith and wife Kathleen.

She was preceded in death by her sister and brother Mary Alice Clay and Joseph Lester Clay.

Services will be held to celebrate the life of Mary Eleanor Fallin at 11am Friday January 5th, 2024 at Merrillville Baptist Church. Pastor Ken Burgess will officiate with burial at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday January 4th, 2024 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
