Services for Mary Fleetwood Steadman, 73, of Ideal, Ga are 3 pm. Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Steadman passed away September 2, 2011 at Flint River Community Hospital in Ideal. Born May 22, 1938 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late O.L. Fleetwood, Sr. and Ruby Wilson Fleetwood. She was married to Johnny Steadman who preceded her in death. She graduated from Thomasville High School with honors, was a lifelong member of Dawson Street Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, was a Sunday school member and was involved in many youth groups. She loved Gospel music and had many friends that she loved. Survivors include sisters, Eleanor Fleetwood Keadle and husband Fred of Thomasville and Dot Fleetwood Gay of Sarasota, Fl; brothers, Leroy Fleetwood, Jr and wife Mary of Palatka, Fl and Bob Fleetwood and wife Barbara of Hollister, Fl and numerous nieces and nephews.
