Service Mary Frances Owens Vinson, 70, of Pavo, will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 13, 2009 at First Newark Baptist church. The Reverend Merrill Coram and Pastor Steve Brooks will officiate. Pallbearers will be Craig Moore, Keith Thornton, Rex Smith, Ronnie Johnson, Brent Johnson, and Carey Dicks. She was the wife of Reverend Gene Vinson, who survives. Mrs. Vinson went to her heavenly home Thursday night September 10, 2009. She was born October 24, 1938 to Richard and Murtie Owens in Pavo, Georgia. She married her loving husband on June 24, 1957; together they served the Lord for 52 years. She was a kindergarten teacher at Rose City Christian School for many years and worked with her son, Donald, at Vinson Chiropractic for 17 years. She enjoyed her family and friends, art, playing the piano, fishing, and teaching Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Joy, and parents. She left behind: husband Gene Vinson; sons Donald and Kent; daughter-in-laws Paula and Jennifer; grandchildren Ethan, Chelsea, Brittany, Rylee, Kalli, Talmadge and Vance; brothers Wilburn Sue and David Marsha; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The viewing will be held at Allen and Allen Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00. Friends and family may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
