Mary Bufford Harvell

Graveside Service for Mary B. Harvell will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Rewis officiating. Mrs. Mary was born on February 28, 1932, in Ochlocknee to the late Charlie Thomas and Ruby Hasty Bufford. She was employed with Coats and Clark until she was unable and became a homemaker. Mary loved to cook, especially baking pies. She was a member of Parkway Church of God where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Survivors include son Bobby L. Harvell (Lynette) of Fitzgerald, Ga.; daughters Mary E. Carter (Charles) of Ochlocknee, Ga., Virginia A. Harvell of Thomasville, Ga.; brother Clarence Bufford (Pat) of Thomasville, Ga.; grandchildren Lisa Harvell Dorough (Shannon) of Fitzgerald, Ga., Brandy Harvell Rutherford (Chip) of Tifton, Ga., Chrystal M. Carter of Ochlocknee, Ga., April Harvell Akers (Mike) of Thomasville, Ga., Daniel Harvell of Monticello, Fl., Jerry L. Cone (Carol Doler) of Thomasville, Ga., and Teddy D. Cone (Robyn) of Ochlocknee, Ga; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 3 nieces and 6 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack L. Harvell, sons Donald R. Harvell and Jerry L. Harvell, sisters Rose Brinson, Estelle Wright, Lois Haverty, brother Charlie T. Bufford Jr., and grandson Rev. Jason Scott Harvell.
