Mary Frances Hicks

Services for Mary Frances Hicks, 91 of Albany, formerly of Ochlocknee, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Neely will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Worsham, Phillip Spillers, Chad Roberts, Ronnie Hughes, Brandon Melton and Zachery Melton. Ms. Hicks passed away January 3, 2015 in Albany. Mary Frances was born to the late Shelby and Gertrude Peterman on August 30, 1924. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Leon Russell Hicks; son-in-law, Mr. Thomas M. Melton; grandson, Russell M. Melton; great grandson, Cameron and great-great granddaughter, Emma Grace. She is survived by her children, Glenda Melton of Albany, Wanda Nolton (Ray) of Tallahassee, Florida and Lee Hicks (Gayle) of Ochlocknee; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and siblings; Dorothy Worsham, Jean Loyd, Ann Brown, Jerry Peterman and Wallace (Bud) Peterman. The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
