Services for Miss Mary Lundy, 86, of Inverness, FL. are at11:00AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Boston Baptist Church in Boston, GA. Interment will be in Boston Cemetery and the Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate. Miss Lundy passed away on June 26 2005 at her residence. She was born January 29, 1919 in Thomas County, GA to William Elmo and Ethel Cobb Lundy. Miss Lundy was a graduate of Boston High School and Crawford W. Long School of Nursing, Atlanta, GA with her nursing career at the Labor and Delivery Room at Crawford W. Long Hospital, Atlanta; Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL, and with Dr. Wayne Rogers and Dr. Josheph Rudnick in Miami. She retired in 1981 from John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital. Miss Lundy was a member of the Boston Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, worked with the GA?s, WMU and with various committees; served on the Thomas County Library Board for eight years and as chairman for two years and member of the Friends of the Library serving on its executive board. In 2002, she moved to Inverness and became a member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness and the Fidellas Sunday School Class. Miss Lundy was the sister of the late Raymond Charles Lundy; Oma Futch; Kathleen Perkins and aunt of the late Marvin Perkins. Surviving is a brother, Mr. Erman Lundy and his wife, Mary Frances Lundy, Camilla, GA; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Betty Lundy, West Point, Miss.; three nieces, Mrs. Judi McBride, Inverness; Mrs. Pam Danzis, Lawrenceville, GA; Mrs. Eve Lewis, West Point, Miss.; two nephews, Mr. William Lundy of Cary, N.C.; Mr. Michael Lundy, Vienna, VA; nine great nephews; five great nieces and many cousins. Memorials may be made to the Boston Library Fund, the Boston Cemetery Foundation or the Library Fund of First Baptist Church, Inverness. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of service on Tuesday at Boston Baptist Church. Visitors may sign the online guest register at
