Mary Bernice Nesmith

Graveside services for Mary Bernice Coffee NeSmith, 91 of Boston will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 3 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Wayne Goff will officiate and past directors of Salem Baptist Church Training Union will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. NeSmith passed away June 1, 2015 at her daughter's residence. Born October 19, 1923 in Altoona, Fl, she was the daughter of the late L.S. Coffee and Mary Jarrard Coffee. She was married to Leonard NeSmith who preceded her in death. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she served as training union secretary for 37 years. She enjoyed cooking and she was always looking for new recipes to try. She was known for her chicken & dumplings at church meals. When her grandchildren were small, she loved to pick them up from school and take them to McDonalds for a treat, She was so proud of her great grandchildren also. She was the beloved mother of Judi & Ronnie Spradlin; grandchildren, Ronnie D. Spradlin, II, and Candice S. Barber (Downing); great grandchildren, Hayden Spradlin, Mary Brooke Barber and Downing Barber, Jr. She was preceded in death by brother, Hoyt C. Coffee.
